This video replay is from the RELIANCE ACSN WEBINAR held on Thursday, 11th June 2020.
The pandemic and the subsequent lockdown have caused all of us to change the way we work. The radical shift to home working has expanded and reshaped enterprises’ remote networks; this has become the ‘New Normal’ and, indeed, for law firms and others in this sector, the ‘New Legal’!
But behind this transformation lurk new vulnerabilities, which malign actors are only too happy to exploit.
Even before this pandemic, cyber attacks on the legal sector were spiralling. According to the latest report on the subject from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), 60% of law firms reported an information security incident, with some £11 million of client money stolen through cyber crime.
And with enterprise networks now stretched in all directions, the gaps are showing through, encouraging not only increased financial cyber crime, but incursions from nation states that wish to gain strategic and economic advantage, and hacktivists who target law firms to achieve political, economic or ideological ends.
This webinar’s panel of experts brings together wide experience and expertise from both legal and digital security specialisms, and explores the urgent new security challenges you face – and how you can best adapt to them.
