What is MDR and how does it work?

We continuously look for both signs of compromise and suspicious behaviour within your organisation, from applications and systems to human behaviours, across both on-premise and cloud-based environments. Our Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) tooling collects the log and event data generated by your applications, security devices, and host systems, and brings it together so it can be analysed by our team of analysts.

When signs of compromise or suspicious behaviours are detected, they’re investigated, and when threats are identified they are countered as appropriate, following pre-agreed procedures to ensure we protect your organisation, but don’t stop critical processes if it’s not necessary to do so.

Crucially, it’s flexible enough to scale as your business grows, flex as it changes, and makes the most of your existing investment in both digital technologies and applications. The most important word in MDR is ‘managed’ – WE manage detection and respond proactively.

It’s a people led approach

Yes, we use automation to ensure we cover all aspects of your organisation, but we overlay what the tooling is seeing with human eyes to add context, experience, and logic to ensure we are making the right decisions for your organisations. To add to this, your contact with us is direct to analyst. In fact, unlike most cybersecurity companies, we encourage you to forge close relationships with the actual analysts running your SOC; after all, they deliver the MDR that protects you.
