Reliance acsn is proud to be working with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the UK’s authority on cyber security in developing the next generation of cyber security experts via its CyberFirst programme. The NCSC’s vision is to help make the UK the safest place to live and do business online by improving its cyber security and cyber resilience.

Protecting the UK’s critical services

The NCSC was set up to help protect the UK’s critical services from cyber-attacks, to manage major cyber security incidents and to improve the underlying security of the UK Internet through technological improvement and advice to organisations and citizens. It has access to some of the most sophisticated capabilities available to government and works to make this expertise as widely available as possible.

Bringing together cyber security expertise

As part of GCHQ the NCSC brings together and replaces: CESG (the information security arm of GCHQ); the Centre for Cyber Assessment (CCA); Computer Emergency Response Team UK (CERT UK); and the cyber-related responsibilities of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI).

Here at Reliance acsn we believe the NCSC will become the authoritative voice on information security in the UK, and we plan to follow their recommendations closely, in parallel with the development of our own significant expertise in cyber security.
